Who can join?
Participation on this activity requires a little previous hiking experience: such as camping routines, habits of carrying a backpack and experience on trips lasting for at least two nights.

Participation in this hiking requires a little previous hiking experience, but you do not need to have your own hiking equipment. Additional information about equipment. Day trips vary from 10 to 15 kilometers long, and we take breaks at regular intervals. Some parts of the hiking places are in pathless terrain, so walking might be a bit physically tougher than walking on the marked trail. We hike about 50 to 70 kilometers long in total, which can still change according to the situation of the route.
You will learn a lot of useful information about hiking and learn how to navigate the terrain and read the map, as well as camping routines.
Registration by email at info@henkireikaoutdoor.com or SMS +358 443 041 863. Tell us which hiking you would like to join. The first payment is 100€ for booking fee, and I will send you the bill through email. Remember to pay the rest of the hiking one month before the starting date. After registration, you will be added to a WhatsApp group, where hikers can get to know each other and agree about transportation if needed. Participants will also receive a link for an online meeting and more detailed information about the hiking.
Aittajärvi car parking
From the Saariselkä-Ivalo road (road no. 4) turn onto the easterly Kuutua forest road. Drive along the forest road for approximately 35 km. There are signs at a couple of intersections along the road that guide you to turn right towards Aittajärvi. Space for 50 cars. No winter maintenance.
