Mushrooms provide a free, delicious, and healthy flavor to foods. The incredible aromas, textures, and flavors of mushrooms are magnificent and unique as well as they bring real value to plant-based cuisine.

In this course, you will explore the wonderful world of mushrooms: you will learn about the most common edible mushrooms, their look-alike species, and the most common poisonous mushrooms.

During the mushroom foraging walk in the forest, you will receive interesting information about the world of mushrooms, such as where to find them, at what time of year they sprout from the ground, and how to handle and prepare them into delicious dishes.

Participants will receive electronic material about mushrooms after the course.

Course includes

On the mushroom foraging walk, you'll learn the basics of mushroom foraging, everyman's rights, and how to observe the characteristics of the most common mushrooms, from the cap to the stem. The course focuses on edible mushrooms and easily recognizable species. Depending on the late summer and autumn harvest, we will explore 10-20 mushroom species. Additionally, instructions on cleaning and preserving mushrooms will be provided. The course lasts 3 hours.

Participants will receive electronic mushroom material via email after the course, so can continue practicing at home.

Bring a mushroom knife, a breathable mushroom basket, and dress according to the weather. You can also bring a mushroom book if you own one.
Note: Mushroom availability depends on the autumn weather and varies in different terrains. If mushroom availability is very poor, the course will be canceled.
